Everyone loves a comedy, and just as many people are intrigued with crime. So, we’ve decided to give you some of both with a year-long film series featuring a funny movie one month and a lawbreaking thriller the next on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.
On May 14, watch Ninotchka (1939), featuring Greta Garbo and Melvyn Douglas. When Grand Duchess Swana sends Count Léon d'Algout to charm her diamonds away from the Soviet delegates who are selling them, he finds himself falling for their humorless superior Comrade Nina Ivanovna "Ninotchka" Yakushova.
